We traded SOXL in June for a gain of almost 12% over 2 weeks.   We want to share with you our thinking process, which hopefully will be food for thought for your next trade. 

Below is SOXL chart showing our entry signal for entering SOXL in June 2021.  We also showed our exit signal when we collected profit.

Lessons Learned

• Identify the short-term green support zone.   This is the foundation of every trade.   
• Use buy orders to scale in at different price points in this narrow green zone.
• If price re-visits this zone, use this opportunity to add a bit more.
• The bottom of the zone is a natural place for placing stops.​​
• We had confidence in the green support zone because $VIX $VXN charts showed that volatility was declining.
• We don't have to nail tops and bottoms to have a profitable trade
• We don't have to ride a trade end-to-end.  
• There are techniques to enter an up swing as it is happening.
